New House - Work in Progress.

As I mentioned last week, I bought this new house from ROOST. It's the Oak Well House, and this is what it looked like out of the box.

I mentioned that I was considering enclosing the porch, and I did just that as you can see below. As I've done with prior builds, I rezzed a second copy of the house and unlinked it. Then I used the bits and pieces that I could to close it in, along with a couple of other added prims to redo the floor and ceiling, and the outside wall.

I also tinted the shingles on the outside a little darker, and changed the texture on the bathroom and closet windows to more of a privacy glass. Lastly, I added a foundation to the house so it would work with the slightly uneven surface of my parcel, and added some entry steps to the front and back.

This is the inside of the enclosed porch. I like how it came out! I removed the interior doors to make a pass through archway, and turned it into a spacious library/office. Obviously, it's not done yet...I'm just trying to get the big items down, and will work on finishing decor later.

Next is the living and dining areas. I'm using the Muniick living room set from the sales last weekend, as promised! I also got a new dining set from Bazaar, which I'm using with a china cabinet from Your Dreams. I also used some panels from Fancy Decor to enclose the chimney flue/stack. As you might have noticed, I'm keeping the color palette very soft.

Lastly is the kitchen area. I'm using the Modern Farmhouse Kitchen from Hive. It fits the Craftsman style of the house really well, and it's simple and clean, which I like.

I only picked up a couple of things from the sales this weekend. I was in a grumpy mood, and really not into shopping yesterday, so I'm not going to do a haul post this week.

As I make further progress, I'll post more pics! I still have the bathroom and bedroom to work out, and the bathroom is causing me some strife...I can't find anything I like to put in it. But I'll figure it out...I always do!

Weekend Haul! 9/7/25

Well, hello! Sorry I missed last week, but honestly I only got maybe two things and didn't feel like doing a post for just that. This week we have some great buys, and...I bought a new house! So for the next few weeks I'm going to be working on that, and will post "in progress" updates! And just in case you think I don't use the things I've been buying during these hauls, I already know of some things that will definitely be going into my new home, including a couple of things from this week. So let's get started!

First, we have these lovely Butterfly Clocks (79 L$ each) from Finca. There were three other colors, but I thought these two would be the most versatile. You can click on the door to start or stop the pendulum swinging, and click on the drawer below to choose either light or dark components on the clock (face, hands, pendulum, and butterflies). I show both options in the picture. I loved how different and old world these looked with the soft curves. They're very graceful for a standing clock.

Next, we have the Autumn Wall System (90 L$) from Kraftwork. There's both a single and a double panel, and they come with a HUD that allows you to choose from a number of different wood  colors for the wainscoting, and different wallpapers, as well as a smooth plaster option, for the walls. This would be such a nice way to add some flair to a house with nothing but plain, boring walls.

Speaking of items that will probably be going in my new house...we have this adorable living room set from Muniick. This set is available through four different vendors. You get the Llewellyn Tightback Chair Set & Ottoman (74L$) in one, and the Llewellyn Tightback Sofa (74 L$) in another.

You also have two decor bundles...the Llewellyn Living Room Tables & Decor Set A (60 L$) and Llewellyn Decor Bundle B (60 L$). These contain the decor elements you see here. I honestly can't remember exactly what all came in each, so check the vendor. But really, with these sets so inexpensive, it would probably just be easier to get them all.

The chairs and couch (along with blankets and pillows) have different colors to choose from, and the options are available from clicking different places in the furniture. The rug, tables and lamps also have color options, and I've put them out here in different shades to give you an idea of what's available.

Lastly, I got the Private Eye Tiffany Blinds (82 L$) from The Looking Glass. It comes with all the different blinds you see here in all their different configurations. Also included are the coat rack, small dresser, radio, and Tiffany style lamp. (I honestly bought this set just for the lamp. It's really pretty!) But the whole group is great set dressing for a film noir detective office.

And lastly, we have my new pride and joy, the Oak Well House (1800 L$) from ROOST. I also got the snow roof to fit this house for an additional 300 L$. This house comes with both a left and right option (this is the right), and also has separate rails for the patio, an optional fireplace, and optional chimney.

This place is SO CUTE. I already have plans to enclose the outdoor patio, and make it an office/library. Since I'm using this for my fall/winter home, I figured that would be a better use of that space. It has that early 20th century Craftsman style that I adore, and I really look forward to having a house with a more vintage vibe...it's been a while since I've played around in that arena.

That's it for today! Stay tuned for more bargain finds, as well as new house updates, and I hope you all have a great week.
